Raising money for Children Living with Disabilities in Nigeria

What are we doing?

We are raising money for Children Living with Physical Disabilities in Nigeria. For disabled children, every day is a struggle! Children with disabilities are one of the most excluded and marginalized groups, and often face multiple challenges in realizing their human rights.

What is 40 by 4?

My name is Keke Hammond, I am the founder of Road14 Cares Foundation. I'm turning 40 on the 12th of June, 2022. I will begin a beautiful fund-raising cycle by donating a minimum of N40,000 to Road14 Cares Foundation, after which I will nominate 4 people to donate a minimum of N40,000 each. It begins with me!

After YOU donate, I would love for you to nominate 4 people to donate a minimum of N40,000 and they in-turn nominate another set of 4 people and the beautiful cycle of donations will continue until we raise a substantial sum by the 12th of June, 2022. This can be achieved by keeping the CYCLE going! Individual donations can also be made in excess of the N40,000 minimum. This would be greatly appreciated as it will enable us reach our target faster!

Who is doing it?

Me, you, your cycle of 4, their cycle of 4 and the cycle continues!😊

Why are we doing this?

There are 240 million children living with disabilities in the world. Half of them are out of school. Many are invisible, hidden by their families and abandoned by their governments. Out of this number, 60 million are in Africa. Up to 80% of these children will not live to be 5 years old if we do not do something about it. In Nigeria, there are currently ONLY 1.3 million documented children living with disabilities

With the 40 by 4 Initiative, we can contribute meaningfully and support these children and their families by providing some relief for the cost of healthcare, provision of aids and equipment not limited to walkers, orthotics, wheelchairs, surgical operations, physical and occupational therapy etcetera.

Who are we helping?
